Important Information

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 3 weeks of arrival will result in loss of all deposit paid. Cancellation outside of 3 weeks will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Group booking cancellations within 6 weeks of arrival will result in loss of all deposit paid. Cancellation outside of 6 weeks will incur a $50 cancellation fee per unit/site booked.

A group booking is a booking with 2 or more units/sites, or 10 or more people. No cancellations permitted during peak season 20th Dec-30th Jan, public holidays, school holidays and Hawkes Bay events, concerts. Amendments can be made at Management's discretion (an administration fee will apply).

If an amendment results in shortening of the stay or a reduction in guest numbers, it will be treated as a cancellation.

NO REFUND FOR EARLY DEPARTURE.

Peak Periods

Over our peak booking periods we may take payment for your booking in advance.

Hotel Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in is from 2:00 PM
  • Check-out is 10:00 AM
  • Late Check-ins: If you are arriving outside of reception hours - we will set up a late arrival for you.
  • Request: Please note we are unable to guarantee all booking requests.

Incidentals & Additional Charges

All bookings require valid credit card details to be held on file in case of any incidentals or damage caused by the guest. These charges may include but are not limited to: additional cleaning fees or removal of excessive rubbish, penalty fine for strong odours (cooking and/or smoking) found in the property, excessive noise created or disruption caused to other surrounding residents, penalty fines for breaking any local laws, regulations & restrictions. Any additional charges must be settled immediately.

Payment Type and Guarantee Policy

Reservations at our motel are secured at the time of booking and credit card payments are taken. All prices are inclusive of GST. For one-night bookings, full payment is taken at the time of booking, and for any other bookings, a 50% deposit is required.

The remaining 50% is charged on the morning of arrival - if you wish to pay the remaining balance in cash or internet transfer, please inform us ahead of time. We accept Visa and Mastercard, but unfortunately do not accept AMEX.

Please note that there will be no refund for early departures. We also require that only one account is used per reservation, and all payments must be made in NZD

Over peak periods, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the booking in advance. Reservations are only confirmed on receipt of deposit. Any additional charges must be settled immediately. Long weekends and peak season 100% deposit is required on all bookings, the balance of the deposit will be take 1-2 weeks prior to arrival.

Remaining balance will need to be paid in full PRIOR to arrival if arriving outside of office hours. Management observes the right to re-quote any errors in quoted price (including verbal and written quotes) We charge the full amount of the booking for no shows.

Incident Response: In the event of any security incident, we have a comprehensive incident response plan in place. This includes immediate investigation, containment, and notification to relevant authorities and affected parties.

Visa & MasterCard Refund Policy Acknowledgment

By engaging in transactions with Havelock North Holiday Park you acknowledge and agree to the supremacy of Visa and MasterCard refund policies over our own refund/cancellation policies. It is important to familiarize yourself with the refund policies of these card networks, as they govern the refund process for transactions made through their respective networks.

Compliance with Card Network Policies: Our refund and cancellation policies are subject to the guidelines and regulations set forth by Visa and MasterCard. In the case of any discrepancies or disputes related to refunds, we will adhere to the policies outlined by the respective card networks.

Stunning deck views of Ta Mata peak

We had The Lavender Cottage, with stunning deck views of Ta Mata peak - a definite must on your list of things to do and see in the area. The cottage had 3 immaculate bedrooms and a spacious lounge, kitchen, dining area. The bathroom also housed a washing machine if you needed it. The little extras like the fresh milk in the fridge and tea/coffee on the counter helped us settle right in.

We didn't want to leave once our trip was finished and will definitely be back :)

Will Be Coming Again!

I was here Waitangi Weekend as part of a girl group for a birthday celebration. Venue is beautiful, very clean and staff were great when we encountered an issue with a window. With the owners coming over twice to check on us and make sure all was well. 10/10 would recommend for groups of friends or families (there's even a washing machine which would be awesome for families). Great experience and we all plan to book again. We might even turn it into an annual group visit!

Enjoyable stay

There was plenty of room, clean and tidy.My family were impressed with the facilities, and it was warm. Our whānau cooked up a nice breakfast on the morning we left. Loved the splendid views and you still had that feeling of being out in the country although Havelock North and Hastings is close. Really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent, relaxing and beautiful area to stay

Very nice setup of the unit. Bedrooms on either side of the building, with the kitchen, lounge and dining table in the middle.

Very nice view onto the orchards in front of the building and with Te Mata Peak in the distance. Easy to get to the restaurant for a drink or meal. Parking right by the side of the unit. Very private. Comfortable couches for a relaxing time after the many walks in the area.
